Virginia's private colleges also welcome applications from qualified students who wish to transfer from two-year and four-year institutions. Transfer applicants should have complete transcripts forwarded from all colleges previously attended, as well as a secondary school transcript. Certification of good standing at the previous institution should also be provided. In addition, some colleges require the results of the SAT I: Reasoning Test (or the ACT).

Policies related to transfer admission, acceptance of credit, advanced standing, financial aid, and housing vary from college to college. To obtain more specific information regarding transfer policies and procedures, call or write the admissions offices of the colleges you are considering.
