Collaborative Business Programs
Virginia Private Colleges (CICV) works to coordinate and promote collaborative business initiatives on behalf of our member institutions that leverage the consumer strength of our membership. These programs are designed to provide value to our members through:

Exchange of information and best practices among peers and industry experts.
Our Initiatives:
Telecommunications
CenturyLink is the current service provider for long distance network services. A telecommunications executive committee provides oversight and management of the agreement. The group employs the services of a telecommunications consultant, Telecom Management Group, as it monitors vendor services, coordinates problem solving, and recommends changes to services and providers.
Software Licensing Agreements
CICV offers several software licensing agreement through our software reseller Digital River, Inc. that provides member colleges and their students access to significantly discounted pricing on a varity of Microsoft and Adobe products.
Microsoft EES Agreement - The Microsoft EES Agreement combines the previous Microsoft Campus Agreement and Academic Select programs to provide CICV member institutions access to significantly discounted pricing on widely used MIcrosoft products, including product upgrades released during the term of the subscription. It also provides a comprehensive and easy means of ensuring Microsoft licensing compliance throughout the college or university campus.
Microsoft Student Select Agreement - This program allows anyone attending or working for a CICV member institution to receive exceptional pricing on MIcrosoft software purchases. A customized Web portal enables the transaction to be processed and shipped directly to the student or faculty member, freeing member colleges from complex administrative tasks while offering an important benefit to the campus community.
Adobe CLP Agreement -- Our CLP Licensing Program allows CICV members to purchase licensed Adobe and (formerly) Macromedia products for campus computers, as needed, at significant savings. The Adobe Student CLP is like the Microsoft Student Select in that individual students, faculty or staff may purchase numerous Adobe products at substantial discounts.
Information Technology Hardware Purchase Program
CICV is able to offer discounted pricing to the employees at our member intsitutions through the Dell Member Purchase Program.
CICV Staples Office Supplies Program
CICV partnered with Staples Business Advantage to offer our members a custom and comprehensive office supply solution. Leveraging the purchasing agreement already established by the Wisconsin Association of Independent Colleges (WAICU), CICV tailored our agreement with Staples to promote further savings through collaboration. This program provides our institutions the opportunity to reduce the cost of purchasing office supplies, take advantage of customer service enhancements, and realize improved efficiencies relating to office supplies management.
Emergency Alert Notification Systems
A significant number of CICV colleges implemented a common solution for providing emergency alert email/text noficiation capabilities on their campus. They individually selected the e2Campus application by Omnilert, LLC.
Coalition for College Cost Savings
CICV is a member of the Coalition for College Cost Savings (CCCS). CCCS is a group purchasing coalition comprised of 27 non-profit higher education member organizations dedicated to helping 627 non-profit higher education institutions improve processes and reduce costs through collaboration. Through this organization, CICV is able to offer its members access to 18 additional collaborative programs, such as:
Provista - Provista is a multi-industry Group Purchasing Organization with nearly $40 billiion in annual member purchase volume, which provides CICV member instititusions with a competitive, extensive portfolio of purchasing contracts.
